Franchisee Project Support
Guide franchisees through the full lifecycle of their design and construction projects (new builds, relocations, refreshes, remodels, and brand program updates), from pre-project planning through brand standards review and project closeout, providing the resources, specifications, and information franchisees need to open on schedule and within the scope and budget they set
Track a portfolio of concurrent franchisee projects, monitoring milestone progress against target opening dates and escalating delays or brand standards concerns to department leadership
Facilitate recurring project update meetings with franchisees and the project teams they engage to review progress, offer options for resolving obstacles, and document brand-related decisions made by the franchisee
Review proposed sites, landlord work letters, and lease exhibits at the franchisee’s request and identify prototype fit, layout, and brand standards considerations for the franchisee to weigh with its own advisors
Support franchisees through punch list completion, project closeout, and post-opening warranty follow-up with brand-approved vendors
Franchisee and Vendor Coordination
· Serve as the primary Franchise Support Center resource for franchisees during design and construction, providing brand design specifications, prototype documents, and operational requirements for franchisees to share with the architects, engineers, and contractors they select and engage
· Partner with internal teams, including Franchise Development, Real Estate, Operations, Marketing, IT, and Legal, to support consistent franchisee communication and resources throughout each project
· Respond to product, specification, and brand standards questions from the general contractors, architects, and approved vendors franchisees engage, without directing their personnel, work methods, sequencing, or safety practices
· Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers for the brand-approved vendor program, and maintain program pricing, terms, and service information that franchisees may elect to use
· Monitor approved-vendor performance and product quality and recommend program changes to department leadership
Brand Standards and Design Resources
· Review project documents submitted by franchisees for alignment with brand standards and prototype requirements and provide written comments to the franchisee
· Evaluate the operational functionality and cost of location fixtures and finishes and recommend improvements to brand standards and specifications
· Develop and maintain the design and construction resources franchisees use, including prototype drawings, specification books, standard fixture and finish schedules, equipment lists, and build-out guides
· Develop and communicate the requirements, timelines, and available resources for brand refresh, remodel, and equipment update programs
· Identify and document deviations from brand standards and refer unresolved matters to Franchise Compliance and Legal
Documentation, Reporting, and Franchisee Education
· Maintain accurate project and vendor documentation, including vendor contact and service information, invoicing, and records management, and provide regular reporting on the development pipeline and project status to department leaders
· Provide build-out cost ranges, timeline data, and project inputs to support franchise disclosure document updates and franchisee planning tools
· Deliver orientation and education for franchisees entering development, including onboarding calls, resource walkthroughs, and conference or webinar content
· Understand, believe in, and uphold Massage Envy’s Promise, Purpose, Vision, and Values
